Carolyn Pinto    

Caroline Pinto is a founding Principal of Counsel Public Affairs Inc. having merged her previous successful consulting business, Suasion Public Affairs Management Inc., with Excelsior to form Counsel Public Affairs. Caroline is responsible for providing strategic government relations counsel to a number of clients including: a large Canadian information and communications technology firm entering the Ontario market, The Law Society of Upper Canada, Canada's largest pharmaceutical company, and a number of regulator bodies. Her strategic insight draws upon her legal, political and public sector background.

Between 1998 and 2000, Caroline was Vice President and Director in the Private/Public Partnership Group at Deloitte & Touche LLP. At Deloittes, Caroline was responsible for advising public sector clients on matters relating to Alternative Service Delivery (ASD) activities, from policy support and opportunity identification, to project management and implementation.

Prior to this Caroline served as Policy Advisory to the Attorney General of Ontario and Minister Responsible for Native Affairs from 1995- 1998. In that role, Caroline worked closely with the Minister and provided day-to-day strategic, political and communications counsel on a variety of high profile public issues. Caroline was also responsible for: policy development and strategic counsel; creating and implementing communications strategies and responding to crisis issues; developing strategic stakeholder relations strategies; developing policy and legislation for introduction by the Legislature and legislative committees; and, maintaining an ongoing network of staff from Cabinet Office, other ministries and ministers' offices.

A lawyer by training with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations/Labour Relations from McGill, Caroline was in private practice prior to joining the Office of the Attorney General. Caroline is an avid runner, having completed 5 marathons including the Boston Marathon twice.
